After a bikeride trough Wormerveer, Oostknollendam, Jisp and Wormer we ended back home again via the Zaanse Schans. And it was (not too) busy! It warms my heart to see that also the Dutch start to discover this beautiful sight!
What a beautiful sunny day! After my workout (outside the gym, something with corona ;) I decided to take some extra time to cycle home. Instead of taking the ferry in the Western Harbour area I took the ferry from Central Station to Amsterdam North (NDSM warf). I keep enjoying these ferry rides!
The day after...
😊 Do I need to say more?! The last time I was ice-skating on nature ice was about 3 years ago on the canals in Amsterdam. It was a cool experience, but after 15 minutes I came back as it was pretty scary to be honest... the ice wasn't reliable at all. This time is different! Practically all ditches and lakes around us are frozen and we can choose where we want to go. This is just around the corner and a lovely spot to hang out. You can't make me happier... This week with snow and ice is just the best present in these weird times!
Snow at the Zaanse Schans! Isn't it picturesque?!
It doesn't happen that often anymore, but today we had about 20 cm of snow! Since we miss hills in Holland we went to a viaduct close-by to make some sleigh rides! Good fun! Let's cross fingers for some ice next week so we can go ice-skating around the Zaanse Schans.
